BOWLING GREEN, Ky. -- A trio of Mid-South Conference teams are ranked, and two more are just outside the poll in the Stadionic-NAIA Football Coaches’ Top 25 Poll, NAIA officials announced on Monday.
Campbellsville (Ky.) and Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) both reside in the top 10, while Georgetown (Ky.) is tied at No. 24 in the first regular-season poll. Cumberland (Tenn.) and Cumberlands (Ky.) are both just outside the top 25 but are receiving voting points from the national raters.
Lindsey Wilson moved up one spot from the preseason poll to No. 5. The Blue Raiders improved to 3-0 after last week's 61-12 win over Rio Grande (Ohio). Lindsey Wilson returns to action at noon ET on Saturday, Sept. 19, as the Blue Raiders travel to No. 14-ranked St. Thomas (Fla.).
Campbellsville jumped four spots to No. 10 this week after opening the season with wins in each of its three games. The Tigers are coming off a 37-0 home win over Webber International (Fla.) last Saturday. Campbellsville travels to Thomas (Ga.) for a 4 p.m. ET kickoff this Saturday.
Georgetown slipped four places to No. 24 following a 34-18 setback to St. Thomas at home. The Tigers (1-2) look to bounce back on Saturday as they travel to Warner (Fla.). Kickoff is set for 3 p.m. ET.
Cumberland is the first team outside of the top 25, followed next by Cumberlands.
Cumberland (1-1) defeated Ave. Maria (Fla.) 31-10 on the road last week. The Phoenix hosts Pikeville (Ky.) at 7 p.m. CT on Saturday.
Cumberlands beat Warner at home 35-21 last Saturday to improve to 3-0 on the season. The Patriots travel to Rio Grande this weekend. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. ET on Saturday.
Grand View (Iowa) remains at No. 1, followed by Keiser (Fla.) at No. 2 and Montana Tech at No. 3.
The next regular-season poll is scheduled for Monday, Sept. 21.
