Mid-South Conference Announces Football Players of the Week

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. -- Campbellsville's (Ky.) Jerrod Johnson and Justyce Law and Cumberlands' (Ky.) Khalil Arman are the Mid-South Conference Football Players of the Week, conference officials announced on Monday.
 
MSC Football Defensive Player of the Week
Jerrod Johnson – Campbellsville (Ky.) – Jr. – Defensive Back – Auburndale, Fla.
  • Johnson led the Tigers with eight tackles, including one for loss in Campbellsville's 27-14 road win over Pikeville (Ky.).
  • He also forced and recovered a third-quarter fumble that stopped a Pikeville possession and set up Campbellsville’s final touchdown.
  • Johnson helped the Tigers limit Pikeville to just 262 total yards of offense.
  • He is tied for third in the MSC with 10 total tackles this season.
  • Johnson earns his first weekly conference honor of the season.
 
MSC Football Offensive Player of the Week
Justyce Law – Campbellsville (Ky.) – So. – Quarterback – Nashville, Tenn.
  • Law tossed a pair of touchdowns and ran for two more in Campbellsville's win at Pikeville.
  • He completed 21-of-30 passes for 286 yards while running for another 85 yards.
  • Law threw touchdown passes of seven and 60 yards while running for touchdowns of 24 and 31 yards.
  • Law ranks second in the MSC with 490 passing yards and five touchdown passes.
  • Law earns his first weekly conference honor of the season.
 
MSC Football Special Teams Player of the Week
Khalil Arman – Cumberlands (Ky.) – So. – Kicker – Murfreesboro, Tenn.
  • Arman connected on three field goals and five extra points to score 14 total points in the Patriots' 50-27 win at Bluefield (Va.).
  • He made field goals of 40, 45, and 47 yards -- the latter matching a program record.
  • With his performance, Arman moves into a first-place tie in the MSC with three field goals.
  • Arman earns his first weekly conference honor of the season.
