Five Mid-South Teams Mentioned in NAIA Football Coaches’ Preseason Top 25 Poll

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. -- Three Mid-South Conference teams are ranked, and two more are just outside the poll in the Stadionic-NAIA Football Coaches’ Preseason Top 25 Poll, NAIA officials announced on Monday. 

Lindsey Wilson (Ky.), Campbellsville (Ky.), and Georgetown (Ky.) are all ranked, while Bethel (Tenn.) and Cumberland (Tenn.) are two of the 15 teams receiving votes, just outside the poll. 

Lindsey Wilson is the highest-ranked MSC team, sitting at No. 6. The Blue Raiders, who finished with a 10-2 record last season, reached the NAIA National Quarterfinals, falling to eventual national champions Grand View (Iowa). Lindsey Wilson opens its season this Thursday, at 6 p.m. CT on August 27, against Reinhardt (Ga.) in Columbia.

Campbellsville sits at No. 14 following an 8-3 season in 2025. The Tigers host their first game of the 2026 season at noon ET on Saturday, August 29, against Saint Francis (Ind.) in Campbellsville. 

Georgetown lands at No. 20 in the rankings, following a 7-3 campaign in 2025. The Tigers open the season on the road at 1 p.m. ET on Saturday, August 29, at Butler (Ind.) in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Bethel and Cumberland both received votes, just shy of making the top 25. 

Bethel faces Lane (Tenn.) at 6 p.m. CT on Saturday, August 29, in McKenzie, while Cumberland plays St. Thomas (Fla.) at 6 p.m. CT on Thursday, August 27, in Lebanon.

Grand View begins the season at No. 1. Keiser (Fla.) sits at No. 2, followed by Benedictine (Kan.) at No.3, College of Idaho at No. 4, and Montana Tech at No. 5.  

The first regular-season poll is scheduled for Monday, Sept. 14.
