Mid-South Conference Announces Football Players of the Week

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. -- Campbellsville's (Ky.) Justyce Law, Cumberland's (Tenn.) Knox Watson, and Cumberlands' (Ky.) Khalil Arman are the Mid-South Conference Football Players of the Week, conference officials announced on Monday.
 
MSC Football Defensive Player of the Week
Knox Watson – Cumberland (Tenn.) – Jr. – Linebacker – Cleveland, Tenn.
  • Watson recorded nine tackles, including six solo stops in Cumberland's 31-10 win at Ave Maria (Fla.) last Saturday.
  • He added a game-high three tackles for loss.
  • Watson led a Phoenix defensive unit that limited Ave Maria to just 19 rushing yards for the game.
  • He ranks fourth in the MSC in tackles for a loss (3.5) and eighth in tackles (14.0).
  • Watson earns his first weekly conference honor of the season.
 
MSC Football Offensive Player of the Week
Justyce Law – Campbellsville (Ky.) – So. – Quarterback – Nashville, Tenn.
  • Law threw for a season-high 357 yards to help Campbellsville to a 37-0 win over Webber International (Fla.) on Saturday.
  • He completed 25-of-33 passes, including two touchdown passes.
  • Law added 10 rushing yards in the win.
  • He leads the MSC with 847 passing yards and 282.3 passing yards per game. His seven touchdown passes are second in the conference.
  • Law earns his second weekly conference honor of the season.
 
MSC Football Special Teams Player of the Week
Khalil Arman – Cumberlands (Ky.) – So. – Kicker – Murfreesboro, Tenn.
  • Arman had a perfect kicking game during Cumberlands' 35-21 win over Warner (Fla.) on Saturday.
  • He made field goals of 31 and 44 yards, while hitting all three of his extra point attempts.
  • Arman ended the game with nine points to help the Patriots improve to 3-0 on the season.
  • He leads the MSC with 28 kicking points this season and is second with five field goals.
  • Arman earns his second straight Mid-South Conference weekly honor.
