BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A trio of wins leads to Shawnee State’s (Ohio) Robert Gibson earning Mid-South Conference Men’s Swimmer of the Week honors, conference officials announced on Monday.

Pinnacle Financial Partners sponsors the Mid-South Conference Player of the Week Award program. Pinnacle Financial Partners was founded in 2000 and is headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee, with banks in eight states in the southeast United States.

Robert Gibson – Shawnee State (Ohio) – Fr. – Savaneta, Aruba

• Gibson notched a trio of wins in the Bears dual meet against Pikeville. 
• The freshman pulled away from the field and clocked a 1:53.84 to win the 200 yard free. 
• Gibson followed that up winning the 400 yard free with a time of 4:11.64. 
• He closed out the meet as part of Shawnee State’s 200 free relay that posted a winning time of 1:34.28.
• Gibson earns his first swimmer of the week honor of the season and of his career.
