KANSAS CITY, Mo. -
Cumberlands (Ky.) freshman Alexander Poulsen continued a banner start to the 2025-26 season with his third-consecutive NAIA Men's Swimming & Diving individual award, setting seven meet records and five school records at the Speedo Centre Invitational to close the month of November.

Poulsen won seven events, achieving seven NAIA A Cuts in the meet, and was dominant in his individual races, winning the 50 free (19.69), 100 free (43.57), and 100 fly (47.76) by breaking the school record in all three events.

He holds the fastest time in the NAIA in both the 100 free and 100 fly, while ranking second in the 50 free. Poulsen was also key on four relay wins for the Patriots, and Cumberlands is ranked either first or second in each of those relays this season in the NAIA. He was pivotal on both UC's 200 freestyle relay and the 400 freestyle relay, which broke a school record, and all four relays he competed in broke meet records.

Cumberlands has closed the fall-semester portion of the 2025-26 schedule, resuming the season Jan. 9 at Gardner-Webb.
