BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A strong performance that includes posting seven wins and five school records leads to Cumberlands’ (Ky.) Alexander Poulsen being named the Mid-South Conference Men’s Swimmer of the Week, conference officials announced on Monday.

Pinnacle Financial Partners sponsors the Mid-South Conference Player of the Week Award program. Pinnacle Financial Partners was founded in 2000 and is headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee, with banks in eight states in the southeast United States.

Alexander Poulsen – Cumberlands (Ky.) – Fr. – Birkerød, Denmark

• Poulsen was dominant with seven wins, seven NAIA “A” cuts, seven meet records, and five school records at the Speedo Centre Inivte.
• The freshman posted the fastest time in the NAIA in both the 100 fly (47.76) and the 100 free (43.57), while breaking a pair of school and meet records.
• Poulsen also won the 50 free with a school record time of 19.69. 
• He was a part of four Cumberlands relays that set new meet records and are ranked in the top-two of the  NAIA.
• Poulsen earns his third swimmer of the week honor of the season and of his career.
