Five MSC Teams Ranked in NAIA Women’s Wrestling Coaches’ Poll

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Five Mid-South Conference teams are ranked in the NAIA Women’s Wrestling Coaches’  Top 20 Poll.
 
Life (Ga.) sits atop the poll with 189 points. The Running Eagles have two wrestlers ranked No. 1 in their respective weight classes. Zaynah McBryde holds the top spot at 138 pounds, while Latifah McBryde is first at 160 pounds. Life has 10 other grapplers ranked in their weight classes.
 
Indiana Tech is also ranked in the top 5 at No. 5 with 128 points. Riley Dempewolf is the top-ranked wrestler at 207 pounds. Indiana Tech has an additional eight wrestlers ranked.
 
Cumberlands (Ky.) is one point behind the Warriors in the poll. The Patriots have 10 individuals ranked led by Micah Fisher-Miller who comes in at No. 2 in the 160-pound class.
 
Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) is the final MSC team in the top 10. The Blue Raiders are slotted eighth with 112 points. Lindsey Wilson has nine wrestlers ranked, led by Hayeni Costa, who is ranked third at 207 pounds.
 
Campbellsville (Ky.) is slotted 20th in the poll with 45 points. The Tigers have five wrestlers ranked, led by Olivia Messerly ranked ninth at 131 pounds.
 
Montreat (N.C.), Lourdes (Ohio), and Rochester Christian (Mich.) are all mentioned in the receiving votes section of the poll. Montreat garnered 23 points and has three individuals ranked. Lourdes earned 20 points and has one wrestler ranked while Rochester Chrisitan earned six points with one individual ranking.
 
Grand View (Iowa) is ranked second with 172 points, while William Penn (Iowa) is third with 161 points. Providence holds the fourth spot in the poll with 156 points.
