BOWLING GREEN, Ky. -- Four Mid-South Conference men's soccer teams are ranked in the NAIA First Regular-Season Poll, NAIA officials announced on Wednesday.

Cumberland (Tenn.) is the highest-ranked Mid-South Conference team at No. 6 after jumping eight spots in the poll. The Phoenix are off to a 3-0 start to the season with wins over Bryan (Tenn.), Tennessee Wesleyan, and Truett McConnell (Ga.).

Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) comes in at No. 10 after also moving up eight spots in the first regular-season poll. The Blue Raiders are 1-1 on the season, earning a 2-1 victory over No. 11 Life (Ga.) before falling 2-0 to No. 6 Indiana Tech.

The University of the Cumberlands (Ky.) is ranked No. 14 after opening the season with a 1-1-1 record. The Patriots began the season with a 1-1 draw against No. 2 West Virginia Tech, followed by a 2-1 victory over No. 22 Grace (Ind.). Cumberlands then suffered a 6-0 loss to No. 13 Bethel (Ind.).

Bethel (Tenn.) dropped out of the Top 25 and is receiving votes after starting the season 1-2-1. The Wildcats opened the year with a 4-0 loss to Olivet Nazarene (Ill.), followed by a 2-1 victory over Spartanburg Methodist (S.C.). Bethel then played to a 0-0 draw against Texas Wesleyan before falling 3-0 to LSU Alexandria.

Oklahoma Wesleyan remains at the No. 1 spot in the poll, followed by Georgia Gwinnett at No. 2, Indiana Tech at No. 3, William Penn (Iowa) at No. 4, and MidAmerica Nazarene (Kan.) rounding out the top five.
The second regular-season poll is scheduled to be released on Wednesday, Sept. 16.
