BOWLING GREEN, Ky. -- Four Mid-South Conference men's soccer teams are ranked in the NAIA Coaches’ Preseason Top 25 Poll, NAIA officials announced on Wednesday.

Cumberlands (Ky.) is the top Mid-South team at No. 4 in the preseason poll. The Patriots are coming off a 9-6-6 record last season, including a run to the NAIA National Tournament semifinals.

The Patriots -- who are the preseason favorites in the MSC -- are the reining MSC regular-season champions. Cumberlands opens its 2026 season at 5 p.m. ET on Saturday, Aug. 22, against No. 2-ranked West Virginia Tech in Montgomery, W.Va.

Bethel (Tenn.) is No. 10 in the first poll of the season. The Wildcats posted a 13-2-2 record last season, including a championship in the MSC Tournament. Bethel starts the 2026 season at 7:30 p.m. CT on Thursday, Aug. 20, at Olivet Nazarene (Ill.) in Bourbonnais, Illinois.

Cumberland (Tenn.) is ranked No. 14 after posting a 14-4-3 mark last season and earning a bid into the national tournament. The Phoenix opens its season at 4 p.m. CT on Wednesday, Aug. 26, at Bryan (Tenn.) in Dayton, Tennessee.

Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) is the final MSC team ranked, checking in at No. 18. The Blue Raiders recorded a 12-4-1 mark last season, also reaching the national tournament. Lindsey Wilson begins 2026 at 7 p.m. CT on Friday, Aug. 28, as it hosts No. 11-ranked Life (Ga.) in Columbia, Ky.

Defending national champion Grand View (Iowa) opens the season at No. 1 in the preseason poll. MidAmerica Nazarene (Kan.) follows West Virginia Tech at No. 3, and Georgia Gwinnett rounds out the top five at No. 5.

The first regular-season poll is scheduled to be released on Wednesday, Sept. 2.
