BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Cumberland’s (Tenn.) David Barbakadze and Lindsey Wilson’s (Ky.) Zahir Garcia are the Mid-South Conference Men’s Soccer Players of the Week, conference officials announced on Monday.

MSC Men’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week
Zahir Garcia – Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) – Jr. - Goalkeeper – Nuevo Leon, Mexico

• In No.18 Linsey Wilson’s first match of the season, Garcia made nine saves in a 2-1 upset of No.11 Life (Ga.).
• Four of his saves came in the second half, including a penalty stop in the 90th minute to secure the victory.
• Garcia earns the first weekly conference honor of the season.

MSC Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week
David Barbakadze – Cumberland (Tenn.) – Fr. – Forward– London, England

• Barbakadze helped lead No.14-ranked Cumberland to two wins last week, an 8-0 win over Bryan (Tenn.) and a 3-2 win over Tennessee Wesleyan.  
• He tallied four goals and two assists last week for Cumberland. 
• Barbakadze earns his first conference weekly honor of the season
