BOWLING GREEN, Ky. -- Campbellsville's (Ky.) Celestina Retumban and Kati Vest, and Cumberlands' (Ky.) Sara Zampedri are the Mid-South Conference Volleyball Players of the Week, conference officials announced on Monday.
MSC Volleyball Attacker of the Week
Sara Zampedri – Cumberlands (Ky.) – Sr. – Outside Hitter – Brescia, Italy
- Zampedri averaged 3.8 kills per set and recorded a .656 attacking percentage to help Cumberlands win both of its matches last week.
- She committed just two errors in her 32 swings during the week.
- Zampedri posted double-digit kills in wins over Andrew (Ga.) and Bluefield (Va.).
- She earns her first weekly honor this season.
MSC Volleyball Defender of the Week
Celestina Retumban – Campbellsville (Ky.) – So. – Defensive Specialist – Jackson, Miss.
- Retumban recorded double-digit digs in all four of her matches last week, en route to averaging 5.1 digs per set.
- She added a .949 receiving percentage, committing just three receiving errors in 59 attempts.
- Retumban added eight service aces to help Campbellsville to a 2-2 record last week.
- She picks up her first weekly honor this season.
MSC Volleyball Setter of the Week
Kati Vest – Campbellsville (Ky.) – So. – Setter – Elizabethtown, Ky.
- Vest averaged 10.2 assists per set to help Campbellsville win three of four last week.
- She eclipsed 50 assists in two matches and ended the weekend with a pair of double-doubles.
- Vest added 22 kills while amassing a .321 attacking percentage in 53 swings.
- She added 33 digs and eight blocks to her week.
- Vest earns her first weekly honor this season.
