BOWLING GREEN, Ky. -- Cumberland (Tenn.), Cumberlands (Ky.) and Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) are ranked in the NAIA Women's Golf Preseason Coaches’ Top 25 Poll, NAIA officials announced on Friday.

Cumberlands is the MSC's top-ranked team at No. 7, and Lindsey Wilson and Cumberland are ranked 13th and 14th, respectively, in the preseason poll.

Cumberlands received 356 voting points from the national raters. The Patriots finished fifth at the NAIA Women's Golf National Championships last season. Cumberlands opens its fall schedule at the Murray State (Ky.) Velvet Classic Sept. 14-15 in Paducah, Ky.

Lindsey Wilson garnered 262 voting points from the raters. The Blue Raiders competed at the national tournament a season ago, ending in a tie for 17th after missing the team cut. Lindsey Wilson kicks off its season at the Blue Raiders Fall Invitational at The Pines at Lindsey Wilson on Sept. 14-15 in Columbia, Ky.

Cumberland received 259 voting points in the preseason poll. The Phoenix also finished in a tie for 17th at last season's national tournament. Cumberland starts its fall season at the Indiana Wesleyan's Wildcat Fall Invite on Sept. 7-8 in West Lafayette, Indiana.

SCAD (Ga.) sits atop the preseason poll with 457 voting points. Keiser (Fla.) is No. 2 with 441 voting points, followed by Dalton State (Ga.) with 435 voting points.

The first regular-season poll is scheduled to be released on Friday, Oct. 16.
