Cumberlands Makes the Cut at the NAIA Women's Golf National Championship

YPSILANTI, Mich. -- Cumberlands (Ky.) is one of 16 teams to make the cut at the 2026 NAIA Women’s Golf National Championship at Eagle Crest Golf Club.

The Patriots shot a team-total 305 in today's second round to move up three spots to sixth place entering Friday's final round. Cumberlands owns a two-day total of 617 (312-305) and sits nine shots out of the lead with 18 holes remaining.

Cumberlands' Jasmine Points shot the best round of the day for the Patriots, carding a 2-over par 74. She recorded a pair of birdies to move into a tie for 15th with teammate Ainslee Cruce. Points and Cruce are six shots off the individual lead with 9-over 153s.

Cruce, Atchariya Thanaudomkul, and McKenzie Trautman all shot 3-over par 75s today to help the Patriots ascend up the scoreboard.

Cumberland (Tenn.) and Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) missed the team cut following today's round.

The Phoenix ends the national tournament with a two-round total of 642 (314-328) -- the first team outside the cutline. The Blue Raiders posted a 650 (323-327) over its two days of competition. The team cutline was 635.

Lindsey Wilson's Kayla Saunders made the cut as an individual as one of the top six individuals not on a team that makes the cut. Saunders posted a two-round total of 155 (75-80) and is tied for 25th entering Friday's final round.

Dalton State (Ga.) and British Columbia are tied atop the team leaderboard at 608. SCAD Atlanta (Ga.) is third at 610, SCAD Savannah (Ga.) is fourth at 611, and Southeastern (Fla.) is fifth at 612.

Texas Wesleyan's Makena Junkin leads the tournament with a 3-over par 147. Four players are one shot back in the chase for the individual title.

Cumberlands begins its second round at 8:20 a.m. ET on Friday, while Saunders tees off at 7:30 a.m. ET.
