YPSILANTI, Mich. -- Three Mid-South Conference teams completed their first round today at the 2026 NAIA Women’s Golf National Championship at Eagle Crest Golf Club.

Cumberlands (Ky.) leads the MSC trio in a tie for ninth place in the 30-team field. The Patriots finished the opening round with a team total of 312. Cumberland (Tenn.) is 12th following its 314, and Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) is tied for 20th after a 323.

All three teams, along with the rest of the field, completed the first round today after play was suspended on Tuesday due to inclement weather. Due to the delay, the tournament has been reduced to a 54-hole championship with the 36-hole cut to be applied following Thursday's play.

Cumberland's Matilda Lind and Crystal Zamzow provided the best round of the day from a MSC golfer. The pair both shot 3-over 75s to tie for seventh. Both players carded two birdies during their rounds, with each firing 1-under 35s on the back nine.

Lindsey Wilson's Kayla Saunders matched Lind and Zamzow in the opening round with a 75 of her own. She also produced two birdies during the segmented round.

Dalton State (Ga.) leads the team standings after a first-round 301. Truett McConnell (Ga.) is second with a 303, and British Columbia and Southeastern (Fla.) are tied for third at 305.
