BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Five Mid-South Conference teams are ranked in the NAIA Women’s Wrestling Coaches’ Top 20 Poll.
Life (Ga.) sits atop the poll with 209 points. The Running Eagles have three wrestlers ranked No. 1 in their respective weight classes. Ariana Martinez holds the top spot at 110 pounds, Zaynah McBryde at 138, and Latifah McBryde at 160. Life has nine other grapplers ranked in their weight classes.
Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) stayed in fifth with 138 points. The Blue Raiders have 11 wrestlers ranked, led by Grace Lashinsky and Jeila Ramos, who are fifth at 117 and 131 pounds.
Indiana Tech remained at No. 7 with 114 points. Emma Jones is the highest-ranked Warrior in the poll at No. 2 at 110 pounds. Indiana Tech has an additional seven wrestlers ranked.
Cumberlands (Ky.) is the final MSC team in the top 10. The Patriots earned 98 points to be slotted 10th. Cumberlands has nine individuals ranked, led by Angelina Casteneda who is ranked third at 103 pounds.
Campbellsville (Ky.) is slotted 20th in the poll with 51 points. The Tigers have six wrestlers ranked, led by Kylee Tait, who is eighth at 160 pounds.
Montreat (N.C.), Lourdes (Ohio), and Midway (Ky.) are mentioned in the receiving votes section of the poll. Montreat earned nine points in the poll, with one wrestler ranked. Lourdes earned three points with one individual ranking. Midway garnered two points and had one wrestler ranked.
Providence (Mont.) sits in second with 186 points, while Grand View (Iowa) is third with 177 points. William Penn (Iowa) is slotted fourth with 172 points.
