BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Cumberland (Tenn.) Lila Cade and Morgan Snead, and Cumberlands' (Ky.) Savanah Jolly are the Mid-South Conference Volleyball Players of the Week, conference officials announced on Monday.
Pinnacle Financial Partners sponsors the Mid-South Conference Player of the Week Award program. Pinnacle Financial Partners was founded in 2000 and is headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee, with banks in eight states in the southeast United States.
MSC Volleyball Attacker of the Week
Lilia Cade – Cumberland (Tenn.) – So. – Outside Hitter – Cookeville, Tenn.
- Cade averaged 3.78 kills per set while posting a .299 attacking percentage as the Phoenix recorded a 4-1 record on the week.
- In a five-set win over #24 Aquinas, Cade tallied 21 kills to go along with nine digs. She added 14 kills in the win over Olivet Nazarene and 27 digs in the 3-1 win at Oakland City.
- Cade finished the week with 68 kills, 56 digs, and 10 blocks.
- She earns her first weekly honor this season and the first of her career.
MSC Volleyball Defender of the Week
Morgan Snead – Cumberland (Tenn.) – Sr. – Defensive Specialist – Mount Juliet, Tenn.
- Snead tallied 82 digs over her five matches, averaging 4.56 digs per set.
- She notched 22 digs in the 3-1 win over Oakland City to open the week.
- Snead followed that up with 23 digs as the Phoenix knocked off #24 Aquinas, while tallying 17 digs in the 3-0 sweep of Trinity Christian.
- In addition to her defensive performance, Snead added six aces and four assists.
- Snead earns her first weekly honor this season and the first of her career.
MSC Volleyball Setter of the Week
Savanah Jolly – Cumberlands (Ky.) – Jr. – Setter – Louisville, Ky.
- Jolly averaged 11.75 assists per set to help Cumberlands go 4-0 at the IU Kokomo Invite.
- She posted 33 assists to go along with four kills and nine digs in UC’s 3-0 win over #18 IU Kokomo.
- Jolly added 40 and 36 assists, respectively, in wins over Bryan and Siena Heights.
- She notched 141 assists, 25 digs, and 11 kills to help the Patriots start the season 11-0.
- She earns her third weekly honor this season and the third of her career.
