MARION, Ind. -- Five Mid-South Conference teams scored points and three teams finished in the Top 10 at the NAIA Men's Track & Field Championship hosted by Indiana Wesleyan.
Cumberland (Tenn.), Cumberlands (Ky.), and Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) posted top-10 finishes while Campbellsville (Ky.) and Georgetown (Ky.) ended the championship with points.
Cumberlands finished in sixth place with 38 points, Cumberland and Lindsey Wilson tied for seventh with 26 points, Campbellsville ended in a tie for 24th with 11 points, and Georgetown finished in a tie for 52nd with four points.
Three more national champions from the MSC were crowned on the final day of the championship, bringing the national title holders to five this week.
Cumberland's Mustapha Bokpin won the 200-meter national championship with a time of 20.60 seconds. Lindsey Wilson's Lorenzo Luces captured the triple jump title with a lead of 50 feet and 9.75 inches.
Cumberlands' 4x400-meter relay team of Iloba Godspower, Roderick Soto, Kerrington Eubanks, and Jaysaun Smith finished first with a time of 3:09.46 for their title.
The national champions collected 10 points for their first-place finishes in their respective events.
Also winning national titles this week from the MSC were Lindsey Wilson's Maxwell Wordui in the long jump and Cumberlands' Luca Madeo in the 10,000-meter run.
Cumberland's Mustapha Bokpin narrowly missed a national title, finishing second in the 100 meters. He crossed the line in 10.13 seconds to earn eight points. Cumberlands' Travion Dotson also pointed in the 100 meters with a time of 10.36 seconds. He picked up four points for this fifth-place result.
A trio of MSC jumpers joined Luces by scoring in the triple jump.
Campbellsville's Camron Hamby finished third with a jump of 50-1.50 feet, good enough for third place and six points. Cumberland's Amir Mersal jumped 49-2.25 feet to finish seventh and earn two points, while Lindsey Wilson's Tremaine Browne jumped 48-10.50 feet for eighth place and one point.
Campbellsville's Schavon Carr finished fourth and garnered five points for his 14.14 seconds in the 110-meter hurdles, and Cumberlands' Cam Andrews finished sixth, earning three points for his time of 21.06 seconds in the 200 meters.
Cumberlands' Andrews, Donte Sol, Daniel Dixon, and Travion Dotson finished third and picked up six points for their time of 39.78 seconds in the 4x100-meter relay.
In the field, Georgetown's Wilson Pendleton earned the Tigers' four points with his fifth-place throw of 57-2.25 feet in the shot put.
All scorers at the national championships earn NAIA All-America Team honors.
British Columbia won the team national championship with 74 points. Madonna (Mich.) finished second with 53 points.
