BOWLING GREEN, KY – Cumberland University’s Mustapha Bokpin (Track) and Lindsey Wilson’s Maxwell Wordui (Field) are the Mid-South Conference Men's Track and Field Players of the Week, conference officials announced Monday.
MSC Men’s Track Player of the Week
Mustapha Bokpin – Cumberland (Tenn.) – Fr. – Ghana – 200m
- Competing in the Lee University Invitational, taking on 68 other athletes, the Freshman finished 1st in the 200m.
- Out of 68 other athletes, Bokpin recorded a time of 20.91, placing first and earning the A standard.
- After a strong indoor season, Bokpin wins his first outdoor honors.
MSC Men’s Field Player of the Week
Maxwell Wordui – Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) – Jr.– Accra, Ghana – Triple Jump
- In a field stacked with teams from all different divisions, Wordui claimed top honors in the long jump with an NAIA "B"-standard distance of 7.31 meters.
- Competing in the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational, the Junior competed in the Long Jump against 58 other athletes.
- Wordui, coming off a successful indoor season, continues to rack up accolades, earning his first honor of the outdoor season.
