BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Lindsey Wilson’s (Ky.) Kori Campbell has been named the Mid-South Conference Women’s Wrestler of the Week, conference officials announced on Monday.
Pinnacle Financial Partners sponsors the Mid-South Conference Player of the Week Award program. Pinnacle Financial Partners was founded in 2000 and is headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee, with banks in eight states in the southeast United States.
Kori Campbell – Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) – Sr. – 145 pounds – Memphis, Tenn.
- Campbell posted a 7-0 record at the Patriot Duals.
- Three of her seven victories came against the top 10 wrestlers in the NAIA at 145 pounds.
- Campbell earned three decisions, two tech falls, one pin and one forfeit victory.
- Her first-ranked win came was a 5-0 decision over Cumberlands’ (Ky.) Gensis Gilmore (ranked No. 10).
- Campbell pinned Providence’s (Mont.) Elise Twait (ranked No. 5).
- Her third ranked win of the weekend was an 11-9 decision over Indiana Tech’s Hayden Newberg (ranked No. 8).
- Campbell earns her first weekly honor of the season.
