BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Cumberlands’ (Ky.) Micah Miller has been named the Mid-South Conference Women’s Wrestler of the Week, conference officials announced on Monday.
Pinnacle Financial Partners sponsors the Mid-South Conference Player of the Week Award program. Pinnacle Financial Partners was founded in 2000 and is headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee, with banks in eight states in the southeast United States.
Micah Miller – Cumberlands (Ky.) – Jr. – 160 pounds – Lewisburg, W.Va.
- Miller posted an 8-1 record to finish third in the 160-pound bracket at the Missouri Valley Open.
- Two of her victories came against ranked opponents.
- Miller recorded five decisions, one pin, one tech fall, and had a forfeit victory.
- Her first-ranked win came by forfeit against Grand View’s (Iowa) Nicole Olson (No. 7 in NAIA at 180 pounds).
- Miller then earned a 5-4 decision over Oklahoma City’s Makayla Munoz (No. 17 in the NAIA at 160 pounds).
- In the third-place match, Miller earned an 11-0 tech fall over Kiley Dill.
- Miller earns her first weekly honor of the season.
