BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A record breaking performances leads to Cumberlands’ (Ky.) Alexander Poulsen being named the Mid-South Conference Men’s Swimmer of the Week, conference officials announced on Monday.
Pinnacle Financial Partners sponsors the Mid-South Conference Player of the Week Award program. Pinnacle Financial Partners was founded in 2000 and is headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee, with banks in eight states in the southeast United States.
Alexander Poulsen – Cumberlands (Ky.) – Fr. – Birkerød, Denmark
- Poulsen notched six wins, six pool records, and three school records in the dual meet against DePauw.
- The freshman opened the meet clocking a 19.94 to win the 50 free and break the school record.
- Poulsen also broke the 100 yard free pool record as he clocked a 44.49 to win the event.
- He was part of UC’s 200 free relay (1:21.43) and 400 free relay (2:59.07) that broke the school and pool records. Additionally, Poulsen also competed on both of the Patriots medley relays that broke school records.
- The freshman holds the top 50 free time in the NAIA, while Cumberlands is ranked first or second in all four relays.
- Poulsen earns his second swimmer of the week honor of the season and of his career.
