Cumberlands Finishes Second, Lindsey Wilson Ninth, Holder Wins National Championship

ELKHART, Ind. -- Cumberlands (Ky.) and Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) posted top-10 team finishes following the completion of the 2026 NAIA Men's Swimming & Diving Championships at the Elkhart Health & Aquatics Center.

The Patriots notched a national runner-up finish with 397 points, while Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) ended in ninth with 165 points. Keiser (Fla.) captured the national championship with 675 points.

For the third straight day, a Cumberlands men's swimmer captured a national title.

Brandon Holder won the 200-yard backstroke national championship with a time of one minute and 45.61 seconds. Holder wins the national title -- Cumberlands' 21st individual national championship -- one day after finishing as national runner-up in the 100-yard backstroke.

Cumberlands' Ruthiik Satti -- who won the 100-yard backstroke championship on Friday -- finished fourth in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 1:46.46.

Three Lindsey Wilson men's swimmers posted top-eight finishes in the 1,650-yard freestyle.

Sergio Ybarra touched the wall in second place with a time of 15:31.77. Ethan Butler finished fifth, and Oliver Greaves finished eighth. Butler posted a time of 15:52.63, and Greaves ended in 16:02.94.

Cumberlands' Titouan Bernot and Alexander Poulsen finished third and fourth, respectively, in the 100-yard freestyle. Bernot -- the 2026 500-yard freestyle national champion -- posted a time of 43.74 seconds, while Poulsen finished in 43.81 seconds.

Cumberlands' Juan Ramirez Zapata added a sixth-place finish in the 200-yard butterfly. He finished in 1:48.66.

Each top-eight finish earns NAIA All-America honors.

In the final race of the championship, the Cumberlands' 4x400-yard freestyle relay team won a bronze medal for their third-place finish. They ended with a time of 2:54.89.

Cumberlands' second-place finish marks the best-ever finish for the Patriots.
