BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Four Mid-South Conference teams are ranked and three other teams earned a mention in the NAIA Men's Wrestling Top 25 Poll, national office officials announced on Thursday.
Campbellsville (Ky.) is the highest-ranked MSC team in the poll. The Tigers garnered 179 points to be slotted sixth. Campbellsville has 12 wrestlers ranked in their respective weight classes, led Izaeah Beavers and Antuwan Burns who are ranked fourth at 133 and 157 pounds, respectively.
Cumberland (Tenn.) also represents the conference in the top 10, garnering 149 points in 10th. Jared Dinh holds the top spot in the 141-pound weight class. The Phoenix have an additional eight wrestlers ranked.
Cumberlands (Ky.) ranked 12th with 130 points. Cumberlands has nine grapplers ranked, led by Matteo Vargo, who is sixth at 125 pounds.
Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) enters the top 25 for the first time this season. The Blue Raiders earned 41 points to be slotted 24th. Lindsey Wilson has three wrestler ranked led by Adrian Ayala who is fourth at 141 pounds.
Rio Grande (Ohio), Georgetown (Ky.), and Midway (Ky.) are all mentioned in the receiving votes section. Rio Grande earned 30 points and has a trio of individuals ranked. The Tigers received 12 points with one individual ranking. Midway earned three points and has one wrestler ranked.
Grand View (Iowa) holds the top spot in the poll with 240 points, while Life (Ga.) is second with 221 points. Southeastern (Fla.) is third with 208 points while Indiana Tech and Oklahoma City round out the top five with 196 and 187 points, respectively.
