BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Campbellsville’s (Ky.) Luis Castro has been selected as the Mid-South Conference Men’s Swimmer of the Week, conference officials announced on Monday.

Pinnacle Financial Partners sponsors the Mid-South Conference Player of the Week Award program. Pinnacle Financial Partners was founded in 2000 and is headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee, with banks in eight states in the southeast United States.
 
Luis Castro – Campbellsville (Ky.) – Gr. – Piura, Peru

• Castro posted a trio of first place finishes in a dual meet against Indiana Wesleyan.
• The Grad Student clocked a season-best time of 4:23.94 to win the 400-meter free.
• Castro followed that up touching the wall in 1:01.51 to win the 100 fly.
• He closed out being part of a pair of Tigers relay, including their winning 200 medley relay.
• Castro earns his first swimmer of the week honor of the season and of his career.
