BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Shawnee State’s (Ohio) Robert Gibson has been selected as the Mid-South Conference Men’s Swimmer of the Week, conference officials announced on Monday.

Pinnacle Financial Partners sponsors the Mid-South Conference Player of the Week Award program. Pinnacle Financial Partners was founded in 2000 and is headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee, with banks in eight states in the southeast United States.

Robert Gibson – Shawnee State (Ohio) – Fr. – Savaneta, Aruba

• Gibson collected a pair of wins in quad-meet against Midway, Pikeville, and West Virginia Tech.
• The freshman clocked a 2:00.72 to win the 200-meter free. 
• Gibson followed that up by pulling away from the field and touched the wall in 4:22.60 to win the 400 free by 11 seconds.
• Gibson earns his first swimmer of the week honor of the season and of his career.
