BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Cumberlands’ (Ky.) James Ndayishimiye earns the Mid-South Conference Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week, conference officials announced on Monday.
James Ndayishimiye – Cumberlands (Ky.) – Jr. – Lexington, Ky.
- Ndayishimiye finished in 22nd place in a 302-man field, completing 8,000 meters with a time of 24 minutes and 26.2 seconds at the Southern Showcase.
- He led his team to fifth place out of 29 teams, the best finish at the Southern Showcase in program history.
- The Patriots finished as the top NAIA team in the predominantly NCAA Division I field.
- Ndayishimiye earns his first conference honor of the season.
