BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – After capturing a trio of podium finishes, highlighted by a pair of national titles, Cumberlands (Ky.) Aiden Woodie has been selected as the Mid-South Conference Men’s Archery Shooter of the Week, conference officials announced on Tuesday.
Pinnacle Financial Partners sponsors the Mid-South Conference Player of the Week Award program. Pinnacle Financial Partners was founded in 2000 and is headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee, with banks in eight states in the southeast United States.
Aiden Woodie – Cumberlands – Fr. – Elkton, Md.
- Woodie recorded a pair of national titles to go along with a runner-up finish at the USA Outdoor National Championship.
- The freshman carded a 683 with 39 ten’s to qualify second in the men’s compound division.
- Woodie followed that up posting a 6-0 record, including a 145-139 win over James Brown (Texas A&M) in the finals to capture his first individual national title.
- He partnered with Joseph West and Bennett Schuler to post a 3-0 record capturing the men’s fixed pins national title, before earning a national runner-up finish in the mixed fixed pins division.
- His success helped the Patriots post a national runner-up finish in the team standings.
- Woodie earns his first shooter of the week honor of the season and of his career.
