BOWLING GREEN, Ky. -- Cumberlands (Ky.) continues to lead the 2025-26 Mid-South Conference President’s Cup standings following the winter championships, conference officials announced on Thursday.
The Patriots extended their lead after the 11 MSC winter championships. Cumberlands has amassed 134 points in the year-long competition.
Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) is second with 119.5 points, followed by Campbellsville (Ky.) with 107.5 points, Cumberland (Tenn.) with 106 points, Georgetown (Ky.) with 85.5 points, Bethel (Tenn.) with 66 points, and Freed-Hardeman (Tenn.) with 44.5 points.
Cumberlands also leads the Men's and Women’s All-Sports Trophy race following the winter competition. The Patriots accumulated 68 points on the men's side and 66 in the women's championships.
Lindsey Wilson is second in both, scoring 58 in the men's and 61.5 in the women's.
The winter season consists of men’s and women’s basketball, men's and women's bowling, cheerleading, men's and women's indoor track & field, men's and women's swimming, and men's and women's wrestling.
Cumberlands earned the maximum amount of points in six of the 11 winter championships. The Patriots claimed the maximum points in cheerleading, men's and women's swimming, men's and women's indoor track & field, and men's wrestling.
Cumberland picked up the most points in men's and women's bowling, while Lindsey Wilson scored the maximum in women's wrestling. Freed-Hardeman won the men's basketball regular-season title while Bethel and Freed-Hardeman tied for the women's basketball championship.
Points are awarded based on the final regular-season standings or the event championship -- in the case of no regular-season schedule -- for each conference-sanctioned sport. The regular-season champion or event champion in each sport receives 10 points, with second place receiving nine points, etc. The top seven male and top seven female team finishes for each institution generate the institution’s overall totals. For co-ed sports, points are awarded to the gender that benefits the most by the co-ed score.
President's Cup points are reserved for full conference members only who compete in conference championship sports. President's Cup points are not given to emerging sports in the MSC.
