Ross, Markham Claim Mid-South Conference Softball Weekly Honors

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Cumberlands’ (Ky.) Grace Ross and Campbellsville’s (Ky.) Emma Markham are the Mid-South Conference Softball Players of the Week, conference officials announced Monday.

Pinnacle Financial Partners sponsors the Mid-South Conference Player of the Week Award program. Pinnacle Financial Partners was founded in 2000 and is headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee, with banks in eight states in the southeast United States.
 
MSC Softball Player of the Week
Grace Ross – Cumberlands (Ky.) – Sr. – Austin, Texas
  • Ross hit .533 (8-for-15) with nine runs scored and six RBIs.
  • She blasted two home runs and recorded multiple multi-hit performances.
  • Ross highlighted the week with a three-hit, five-RBI game against Bethel (Tenn.).
  • She reached base at a .611 clip and was perfect defensively.
  • Ross earns her forth Mid-South Conference Player of the Week honor of the season.
 
MSC Softball Pitcher of the Week
Emma Markham – Campbellsville (Ky.) – Sr. – Bowling Green, Ky.
  • Markham went 3-0 in the circle across three appearances.
  • She posted a dominant 0.37 ERA over 19.0 innings of work.
  • Markham allowed just one run on 10 hits while striking out 14 batters.
  • She followed with two complete-game victories against Cumberland (Tenn.).
  • Markham earns her forth Mid-South Conference Pitcher of the Week honor of the season.
