Daniels, Miller Claim Mid-South Conference Softball Weekly Honors

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Campbellsville’s (Ky.) Jessie Daniels and Georgetown College (Ky.) Kylie Miller are the Mid-South Conference Softball Players of the Week, conference officials announced Monday.

Pinnacle Financial Partners sponsors the Mid-South Conference Player of the Week Award program. Pinnacle Financial Partners was founded in 2000 and is headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee, with banks in eight states in the southeast United States.

MSC Softball Player of the Week
Jessie Daniels – Campbellsville (Ky.) – Jr. – Owensboro, Ky.
  • Daniels hit .500 (6-for-12) across three wins to lead Campbellsville to a series sweep over Freed-Hardeman (Tenn.).
  • She totaled five home runs and nine RBIs during the series.
  • Daniels delivered a key RBI double in the seventh inning of game one to spark a rally.
  • She finished the week with a 1.833 slugging percentage.
  • Daniels earns her second Mid-South Conference Player of the Week honor of the season.
 
MSC Softball Pitcher of the Week
Kylie Miller – Georgetown College (Ky.) – Fr. – Kokomo, Ind.
  • Miller went 2-0 across two starts against Cumberland (Tenn.).
  • She tossed a complete-game shutout in her first outing, striking out nine batters.
  • Miller totaled 12 strikeouts over 11.0 innings of work.
  • She finished the week with a 0.64 ERA while allowing just one earned run.
  • Miller earns her first Mid-South Conference Pitcher of the Week honor of the season.
