BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Second-seeded Cumberlands (Ky.) punched its ticket to the Mid-South Conference Women's Tennis Championship with a 4-0 semifinal victory over Cumberland (Tenn.) on Saturday at Warren County Tennis Facility.

The Patriots started strong by winning the doubles point and taking a 1–0 lead. The No. 19 duo of Hara and Liu won 6–0 on court one, while Zarate and Kojima won 6–2 on court two. The third match wasn’t completed because the point had already been secured.

Cumberlands kept the ball rolling into singles play, with No. 30-ranked and MSC player of the year Marina Nagai opening the singles run with a 6-1, 6-1 victory over Valentina Mendez on court one to give the Patriots a 2-0 lead. Haruna Kojima extended the advantage to 3-0 with a 6-2, 6-1 win over Elina Sungatullina on court four. Mahiro Hara clinched the match on court five with a 6-2, 6-2 victory over Madeleine Darud. The remaining singles matches were stopped once the Patriots reached the four-point clinch.

With the win, Cumberlands advances to the MSC Championship, where they face Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) with an automatic bid into the NAIA championship on the line.
