BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Cumberlands' (Ky.) Marina Nagai leads the Mid-South Conference Women's Tennis Year-End Awards, conference officials announced on Friday.
Nagai is the MSC Women's Tennis Player of the Year as selected by the conference coaches. Lindsey Wilson's (Ky.) Javiera Verdugo was voted as the MSC Women's Tennis Freshman of the Year, while Lindsey Wilson's Eric Bernabeu is the MSC Women's Tennis Head Coach of the Year, and Lindsey Wilson's Aina Bernabeu is the women's tennis assistant coach of the year.
Nagai is 9-3 this season in singles, including a perfect 6-0 in Mid-South competition. She enters the MSC Tournament with a 12-3 mark in doubles action. Verdugo posted a 12-0 singles record and a 13-1 doubles mark for the Blue Raiders during the regular season.
