BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Cumberlands' (Ky.) Jacopo Cianfarini has been named the Mid-South Conference Men’s Tennis Player of the Week, conference officials announced on Monday.
Pinnacle Financial Partners sponsors the Mid-South Conference Player of the Week Award program. Pinnacle Financial Partners was founded in 2000 and is headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee, with banks in eight states in the southeast United States.
Jacopo Cianfarini – Cumberlands (Ky.) – Fr. – Rome, Italy
- Cianfarini helped the Patriots to a 1-1 week last week, including a 4-1 win over nationally-ranked Huntington (Ind.).
- He overcame a one-set deficit against Huntington to win back-to-back sets in a 6-7, 6-2, 6-2 win in the top-seeded singles match.
- Cianfarini also won his doubles match to help the Patriots improve to 8-4 on the season.
- His losses during the week came against NCAA Division I Jacksonville State (Ala.).
- Cianfarini earns his second weekly conference honor of the season.
