McKinnis, Roberts Claim Mid-South Conference Softball Weekly Honors

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Lindsey Wilson’s (Ky.) Emerson McKinnis and Hallie Roberts are the Mid-South Conference Softball Players of the Week, conference officials announced Monday.

Pinnacle Financial Partners sponsors the Mid-South Conference Player of the Week Award program. Pinnacle Financial Partners was founded in 2000 and is headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee, with banks in eight states in the southeast United States.
 
MSC Softball Player of the Week
Emerson McKinnis – Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) – So. – Auburn, Ky.
  • McKinnis hit .625 (10-for-16) across five victories for No. 16 Lindsey Wilson.
  • recorded three RBIs on three hits in the opening game against Union Commonwealth and added another hit in game two.
  • McKinnis tallied multiple hits in both wins over Georgetown and collected her 10th hit of the week in the series finale.
  • She finished the week with a .688 slugging percentage and totaled 22 putouts behind the plate
  • McKinnis earns her first Mid-South Conference Player of the Week honor of the season.
 
MSC Softball Pitcher of the Week
Hallie Roberts – Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) – So. – Louisville, Ky.
  • Roberts went 2–0 with two complete-game shutouts for No. 16 Lindsey Wilson.
  • She allowed just one hit and two base runners over 6.0 innings in an 8-0 win over Union Commonwealth.
  • Roberts followed with a seven-inning shutout against Georgetown, limiting the Tigers to six hits.
  • She struck out 13 batters without issuing a walk, while opponents hit just .152 against her.
  • Roberts earns her first weekly conference honor of the season.
