BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Lindsey Wilson’s (Ky.) Mayra Gisone has been named the Mid-South Conference Women’s Tennis Player of the Week, conference officials announced on Monday.

Pinnacle Financial Partners sponsors the Mid-South Conference Player of the Week Award program. Pinnacle Financial Partners was founded in 2000 and is headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee, with banks in eight states in the southeast United States.
 
Mayra Gisone – Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) – Sr. – Santa Fe, Argentina

 

·       Gisone was a perfect 2-0 in singles and doubles last week in wins over No. 10-ranked Marian (Ind.) and No. 19-ranked Cumberland (Tenn.).

·       She upset 14th-ranked Yasmin Imamniyazova with a come-from-behind, three-set victory in Lindsey Wilson's win over Marian.

·       Gisone also scored a ranked doubles win with Martina Cortal over Cumberland's Maria Arbelaez and Elina Sungatullina.

·       She moves to 9-1 overall and 4-0 in Mid-South play in singles and 10-0 overall in doubles.

·       Gisone earns her third weekly conference honor of the season.
