BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Bethel's (Tenn.) Sofia Canto Hurtado has been named the Mid-South Conference Women’s Tennis Player of the Week, conference officials announced on Monday.

Pinnacle Financial Partners sponsors the Mid-South Conference Player of the Week Award program. Pinnacle Financial Partners was founded in 2000 and is headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee, with banks in eight states in the southeast United States.
 
Sofia Canto Hurtado – Bethel (Tenn.) – Jr. – Puebla, Mexico

 

·       Canto Hurtado posted a 2-0 singles record and a 2-1 doubles last week.

·       She helped the Wildcats to a perfect 3-0 record last week, including beating NO. 24-ranked Oakland City (Ind.).

·       Canto Hurtado earned straight-set wins in singles play over Freed-Hardeman (Tenn.) and Oakland City. She dropped just three games in the wins.

·       She improves to 9-0 on the season with the two wins.

·       Canto Hurtado earns her first weekly conference honor of the season.
