BOWLING GREEN, Ky – Georgetown (Ky.) junior Navarro Nanpuya is the 2025-26 Mid-South Conference Men’s Wrestler of the Year, conference officials announced today.
The conference's top honor comes on the heels of Nanpuya capturing the 184-pound NAIA National Championship. He capped the national title run with an 11-2 win over Doane's Tyson Beauperthuy in the championship match.
Nanpuya finished the national tournament with a 5-0 record, including beating the top three seeds en route to being named the NAIA National Tournament's Most Outstanding Wrestler. He was dominant in the national championships, outpointing the competition 47-12 across the five matches.
He completes his season with a 19-1 overall record, including winning the national and the Mid-South Conference titles for his weight class.
Nanpuya becomes Georgetown's first-ever national champion and NAIA All-American in the Tigers' first season of competition.
