BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – University of the Cumberlands’ Tavon Davis (Track) and Lindsey Wilson’s Jayden Wentz (Field) named the Mid-South Conference Men's Outdoor Track and Field Players of the Week, conference officials announced Monday.
MSC Men’s Track Athlete of the Week
Tavon Davis – Cumberlands (Ky.) – Utica, MS – Jr. – Sprints
- Davis opened his season with an A standard time of 46.20 to win the 400m at the Emory Spring Break Classic.
- His time is the fastest time in the NAIA this season and broke the program record.
MSC Men’s Field Athlete of the Week
Jayden Wentz – Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) – Jumps
- Wentz met the A standard in the triple jump with a career-best effort of 15.12m to earn fourth overall at the Alan Connie Invitational.
- This mark ranks in the top-five in the NAIA this season.
- He also added a 16th-place finish in the long jump with a 6.46m leap.
