BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Cumberland's (Tenn.) Asya Tilsim Timur has been named the Mid-South Conference Women’s Tennis Player of the Week, conference officials announced on Monday.

Pinnacle Financial Partners sponsors the Mid-South Conference Player of the Week Award program. Pinnacle Financial Partners was founded in 2000 and is headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee, with banks in eight states in the southeast United States.
 
Asya Tilsim Timur – Cumberland (Tenn.) – So. – Turkey

 

·       Timur won twice in singles and once in doubles last week to help the Phoenix to a 2-0 record.

·       She won a pair of straight-sets singles matches in wins over No. 21-ranked Indiana Wesleyan and Campbellsville (Ky.).

·       Timur posted a 6-4, 6-1 win on court two in the Campbellsville win to help Cumberland win its MSC opener.

·       She was part of a doubles team that beat IWU on court three before falling to the Campbellsville tandem.

·       Timur earns her first weekly conference honor of the season.
