BOWLING GREEN, Ky. -- Cumberlands (Ky.) captured the 2026 Mid-South Conference Cheerleading Championship today at Bowling Green Arena.
The Patriots led wire-to-wire, finishing with 95.08 points to win the program's fifth conference title. Georgetown (Ky.) finished second with 92.28 points.
Cumberlands grabbed the lead after the preliminary round with a score of 95 points. The Patriots posted the best score in the finals (95.1) to win the championship.
The preliminary round score is 25 percent of the team's overall score. Teams compete in ascending order in the finals based on their preliminary score. The team's final round is worth 75 percent of the overall score.
Cumberland (Tenn.) finished third with 79.91 points, followed by Midway (Ky) with 70.71 points and Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) with 66.94 points.
Cumberlands earns the Mid-South Conference's automatic bid into the NAIA National Championship later this month in Topeka, Kansas.
