Durrant and Owusu selected as Mid-South Women’s Indoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – University of the Cumberlands’ Heather Durrant (Track) and Lindsey Wilson University’s  Rosemond Owusu (Field) were named the Mid-South Conference Women's Track & Field Athletes of the Week, conference officials announced Monday. Pinnacle Financial Partners sponsors the Mid-South Conference Player of the Week Award program. Pinnacle Financial Partners was founded in 2000 and is headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee, with banks in eight states in the southeast United States.

MSC Women’s Track Athlete of the Week

Heather Durrant – Cumberlands (Ky.) – Jr. – Racewalk
  • Durrant posted an NAIA "A" standard in the 3000m Racewalk at the Camel City Sprints this weekend.
  • Her 15:07.01 finish won the race, and marks the third-fastest time in the NAIA this season.
 
MSC Women’s Field Athlete of the Week

Rosemond Owusu – Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) – Jumps
  • Owusu bested the high jump by 0.19 meters en route to a school record and NAIA "A" standard leap of 1.69 meters.
  • She also added a seventh-place finish in the long jump.
