BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – University of the Cumberlands’ Lea Kuntsmann (Track) and Campbellsville University’s Kariana Harrigan (Field) were named the Mid-South Conference Women's Track & Field Athletes of the Week, conference officials announced Monday. Pinnacle Financial Partners sponsors the Mid-South Conference Player of the Week Award program. Pinnacle Financial Partners was founded in 2000 and is headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee, with banks in eight states in the southeast United States.
MSC Women’s Track Athlete of the Week
Lea Kuntsmann – Cumberlands (Ky.) – Fr. – Distance
- Kuntsmann finished the mile in 5:03.33 at the Music City Invite in Nashville, TN this weekend.
- Her mark clipped the NAIA B standard against elite competition.
MSC Women’s Field Athlete of the Week
Kariana Harrigan – Campbellsville (Ky.) – Jumps
- Harrigan scored 12 team points on her own to fuel the Lady Tigers' fourth-place team finish at the NCCAA Indoor Championships.
- She bounded to a silver medal and All-American honors in the triple jump with a mark of 10.55 meters, while also adding a vital fifth-place podium finish in the long jump with a 5.19-meter leap.
