BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Campbellsville’s (Ky.) Tyra Flowers and Whitney Hay have been named the Mid-South Conference Women’s Basketball Players of the Week, conference officials announced on Monday.
Pinnacle Financial Partners sponsors the Mid-South Conference Player of the Week Award program. Pinnacle Financial Partners was founded in 2000 and is headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee, with banks in eight states in the southeast United States.
MSC Women’s Basketball Defensive Player of the Week
Tyra Flowers – Campbellsville (Ky.) – Sr. – Forward – Winchester, Ky.
- Flowers totaled 19 rebounds and nine steals over the Lady Tigers’ three-win week.
- The senior grabbed eight rebounds and five steals to anchor Campbellsville’s win over (RV) Georgetown.
- Flowers earns her third weekly honor of this season.
MSC Women’s Basketball Offensive Player of the Week
Whitney Hay – Campbellsville (Ky.) – Gr. – Forward – Eastview, Ky.
- Hay scored 20+ points in each of the Lady Tigers’ three victories on the week.
- She averaged 23.7 points per game while shooting 54% from the floor.
- Hay earns her second conference honor this season.
