BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Campbellsville University’s Makiyah Allen (Track) and Kayla Barr (Field) were named the Mid-South Conference Women's Track & Field Athletes of the Week, conference officials announced Monday. Pinnacle Financial Partners sponsors the Mid-South Conference Player of the Week Award program. Pinnacle Financial Partners was founded in 2000 and is headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee, with banks in eight states in the southeast United States.
MSC Women’s Track Athlete of the Week
Makiyah Allen – Campbellsville (Ky.) – Sprints
- Allen won the 60m hurdles at the Centre Indoor Showcase over the weekend with an 8.91 finish.
- She also podiumed in the 60m and 200m dashes with 7.97 and 26.51 finishes, respectively.
MSC Women’s Field Athlete of the Week
Kayla Barr – Campbellsville (Ky.) – Throws
- Barr won the weight throw at the Centre Indoor Showcase behind a 14.00m throw.
- She then followed with a runner-up performance in the shot put, where she finished with an 11.66m mark.
