BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Bethel's (Tenn.) Micah Hart and Georgetown's Eszter Dioszegi are the Mid-South Conference Women’s Basketball Players of the Week, conference officials announced on Monday.
Pinnacle Financial Partners sponsors the Mid-South Conference Player of the Week Award program. Pinnacle Financial Partners was founded in 2000 and is headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee, with banks in eight states in the southeast United States.
MSC Women’s Basketball Defensive Player of the Week
Eszter Dioszegi – Georgetown (Ky.) – Fr. – Forward – Cleveland, Ohio
- Dioszegi recorded eight rebounds and four blocks in Georgetown's 64-63 win over Cumberland (Tenn.).
- The four blocks matched her career high.
- Dioszegi also recorded a steal to help the Tigers pick up their first MSC win of the season.
- She ranks second in the MSC this season in blocks per game (1.0) and ninth in rebounds (6.8).
- Dioszegi earns the first weekly honor of her career.
MSC Women’s Basketball Offensive Player of the Week
Micah Hart – Bethel (Tenn.) – So. – Guard – Yorkville, Tenn.
- Hart averaged 33 points while shooting 63.4 percent (26-of-41) from the field and 66.7 percent (8-of-12) from beyond the 3-point arc in road wins over No. 3 Campbellsville (Ky.) and Lindsey Wilson (Ky.).
- She eclipsed the 1,000-point career mark in the 84-73 win over Lindsey Wilson on Saturday.
- Hart began the week with 29 points, five rebounds, and five steals in a 76-70 overtime win over Campbellsville.
- She leads the Mid-South Conference in scoring, averaging 19.9 points per game.
- Hart earns her third weekly conference honor this season and fourth of her career.
