KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Micah Hart of Bethel (Tenn.) eclipsed the 1,000-point milestone over the weekend after aiding her team in wins over Campbellsville (Ky.) and Lindsey Wilson (Ky.), while averaging 33 points per game across the two contests to earn Gared Performance Sports Systems NAIA Women's Basketball Offensive Player of the Week honors.
The Wildcats secured road victories over Campbellsville (Ky.), 76-70 in overtime, and Lindsey Wilson (Ky.), 84-73, behind Hart's consistent scoring and efficiency. She shot 63.4 percent (26-of-41) from the field and 66.7 percent (8-of-12) from beyond the arc during the weekend.
The sophomore opened the week with a 29-point performance against Campbellsville, eventually helping Bethel pull away with a 13-7 overtime advantage to seal the game in extra time. She added five rebounds and five steals for a balanced stat line.
Hart reached the 1,000-point career mark in the first quarter against Lindsey Wilson. She went on to tally a game-high 37 points on 15-of-23 shooting, including 5-of-6 from three-point range, to lead the Wildcats to the 84-73 victory.
Hart currently leads the Mid-South Conference in scoring at 19.9 points per game.
Bethel women's basketball is back in action on Thursday, Jan. 22, at home against Freed-Hardeman (Tenn.)
