BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Cumberland’s (Ky.) Madison Long and Nicole Araujo are the Mid-South Conference Women’s Soccer Players of the Week, conference officials announced on Monday.

Pinnacle Financial Partners sponsors the Mid-South Conference Player of the Week Award program. Pinnacle Financial Partners was founded in 2000 and is headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee, with banks in eight states in the southeast United States.

MSC Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week
Madison Long – Cumberlands (Ky.) – Sr. - Defender – Gallatin, Tenn.

• Long helped lead the Patriots to a 1-0 win with her game-winner against #11 Indiana Wesleyan (her first Cumberlands career goal).
• The senior was also a vital part of the Patriots’ defense that limited the Wildcats to just five shots.
• She proved pivotal in Cumberlands’ initial victory on the week too over #9 Aquinas (Mich.), where the team limited the Saints to six shots.
• Long earns the first weekly honor of her career.

MSC Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week
Nicole Araujo – Cumberlands (Ky.) – Sr. - Forward – Lisboa, Portugal

• Araujo tied her career-high with two goals and five points in the Patriots’ 3-2 win over Aquinas (Mich.).
• Araujo earns her second weekly honor of the season and of her career.
