BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Bethel's (Tenn.) Merle Chacon is the Mid-South Conference Women's Golfer of the Week, conference officials announced on Monday.

Pinnacle Financial Partners sponsors the Mid-South Conference Player of the Week Award program. Pinnacle Financial Partners was founded in 2000 and is headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee, with banks in eight states in the southeast United States.
 
Merle Chacon – Bethel (Tenn.) – Jr. – Puerto Ordaz, Venezuela

• Chacon tied for second in the 57-woman field at the Skyhawks Fall Invitational.
• She shot a two-day tournament of 151 (72-79) over the 5,857-yard par-72 layout.
• Chacon tied for the best round of the tournament with her even-par 72 in the first round.
• She helped Bethel to a second-place team finish -- five strokes off the winning score by a nationally-ranked team.
• Chacon earns her first women's golfer of the week honor of her career.
