BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - The Mid-South Conference announced its 2025 Women's Tennis All-MSC teams and individual honors on Tuesday.
Lindsey Wilson’s (Ky.) Aina Bernabeu was named the MSC Women's Tennis Player of the Year while Cumberland’s (Tenn.) Emilia Nowak earned Freshman of the Year honors. Cumberland’s (Tenn.) Karen Martinez was voted the MSC Coach of the Year by her peers. Campbellsville’s (Ky.) Nico Andrade earned Assistant Coach of the Year honors.
Bernabeu was a perfect 6-0 against conference competition this season at No. 1 singles. She teamed up with Mariangeles Mateu in doubles and went a perfect 6-0 in the MSC. Bernabeu was 12-3 in No. 3 doubles this season.
Nowak, in her freshman campaign with the Phoenix, went 5-0 in the conference at No. 2 & 3 singles. She posted a 5-2 doubles record with Juanita Mendez playing at No.1 & 2 doubles.
Martinez led the Phoenix to a 4-2 record in the MSC, earning the No. 2 seed in the tournament and a 10-8 overall record.
Andrade helped lead the Tigers to an 8-8 overall record and a 3-3 conference record.
The All-conference list is selected by the conference coaches. Coaches were not allowed to vote for their own players. An additional eight players earned second-team honors.
